Thornado’s Extensive Range of Pipe Fittings
Pipe fittings are often seen in pipe systems. Whether it’s the design of an irrigation system or pipes to transport waste water and sediment-laden water, the correct fittings are critical to the system’s effectiveness. It is available in a variety of sizes and specifications and is used to connect directly to pipes in order to regulate fluid flow, such as couplings, pipe reducing, tees, elbows, unions, nipples, flanges, reducing bush, and pipe risers.
Poly pipe fittings
Thornado offers an extensive range of excellent Plasson poly pipe fittings that are appropriate for use with a wide range of line materials in both low and high pressure environments. This include poly bsp threaded fittings, metric compression fittings, rural compression fittings, and tapping saddles.
Metric and rural compression poly fittings are designed to make connection and disconnection simple when joining the PE pipes. Tapping saddles provide solutions to making an offtake from the PE pipes. These poly fittings are made from high-performance thermoplastic materials, so it is resistant to corrosion and has the strength and toughness to offer a long service life.
Galvanized pipe fittings
Hot dipped galvanised fittings are widely used on the water, gas, steam and compressed air. In addition to the low-pressure application, galvanised fittings are also used in petroleum industry. Galvanised pipe fittings are made of high-quality cast iron to ASTM A-197, ASTM A47.
Thornado offers high quality galvanised fittings ranging from ½” to 6-inch nominal bore that are conforms to the specification of Standard EN 10242 and each fitting are subjected to a pressure test without showing any sign of leakage or abnormality.
Stainless steel pipe fittings
Stainless steel can be defined as a steel alloy that has a minimum chromium level of 11% of its mass. Stainless steel fittings are used when the properties of steel and resistance to corrosion are required. Stainless Steel Fittings are most suitable for marine, pumping, commercial, domestic chemical, and irrigation applications. Thornado offers 150lb stainless steel fittings that are made from grade 316 stainless steel. 150lb refers to the maximum working pressure/temperature of 150psi saturated steam.
