The Thornado Hose Whip Check Safety Cable is designed to provide an added layer of protection when using compressed air and other pressurised hose systems. In the event of an accidental coupling separation, the whip check helps restrain the hose, reducing uncontrolled hose movement (commonly known as “hose whip”) and helping protect operators, nearby personnel and equipment.

Manufactured from high-strength galvanised steel wire with heavy-duty spring loops at each end, the whip check is quick and easy to install over compatible hose couplings without requiring specialised tools. Its durable construction provides excellent resistance to corrosion and harsh industrial environments, making it suitable for use across construction, mining, manufacturing, workshops and agricultural applications.

For best practice, whip checks should be fitted to compressed air hose assemblies where there is a risk of coupling separation during operation.
